The Great Lakes Flow into town...
Whitby Iroquois Soccer Club [Ontario Canada U15 Boys Confirmed]

We are pleased to confirm the entry of Whitby Wolverines U15 Boys of Whitby Iroquois Soccer Club [Ontario, Canada] to the 2008 Competition.

Ontario is a province located in the central part of Canada, the largest by population and second largest, after Quebec in total area. Ontario is bordered by the provinces of Manitoba to the west, Quebec to the east, and the American states of Michigan, New York, and Minnesota. Ontario is the only Canadian Province that borders the Great Lakes.

The capital of Ontario is Toronto, the largest city in Canada. Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is located in Ontario as well. The 2006 Census counted 12,160,282 residents in Ontario, which accounted for 38.5% of the national population.

We spoke to Team Manager Brian Bussiere and he explained.......

"The Whitby Wolverines are thrilled at the prospect of competing in their first international tournament. We are an under 15 year old boys team from Whitby,Ontario Canada (just east of Toronto). The team is a group of hard working young men many of whom have been playing soccer together since they were 8 years old. We currently play at the premier level of our soccer league and have competed in many tournaments throughout Ontario and Quebec. There will be a large fan base travelling with the team and we are all looking forward to some great soccer and socializing with teams from across the world!"
