NEW MAJOR SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT!
The Football Pools Trust in association with Littlewoods Pools [5 Dec 2007]
We are proud to announce a new major tournament sponsor; The Football Pools Trust.

Littlewood’s Football Pools was established in 1923 and has created countless millionaires, and over 60 million winners, in its 84-year history.

The company has injected more than £400 million into football over the years from grassroots funding to the top flight clubs.

After Lord Justice Taylor’s inquiry and subsequent report of 1990 following the Hillsborough disaster, £500 million was spent providing CCTV and allseater stadia. £240 million of this was donated by Littlewood’s Football Pools via the Football Trust, brainchild of Cecil Moore’s – now called the Football Foundation.

It is 84 years since the first football pools game began and the nation’s favourite game has now hit another big milestone. The UK’s three major pools companies – Littlewood’s, Zetter’s and Vernon’s Pools -are joining under one roof to become The New Football Pools.

The New Football Pools brings with it the new Football Pools Trust. With funding from our portfolio of games the Trust is injecting even more money into football. Funding is provided by the charity for grassroots football and other community projects putting the Football Pools Trust at the heart of the game.

It is in the community that the work of the Football Pools Trust aims to make its greatest impact. Many communities, organisations and individuals throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland will benefit from the funding as the Football Pools Trust endeavours to increase active participation in sport, especially amongst young people and those with more ability than resources.

We look forward to working in partnership with the Football Pools Trust to deliver another fantastic tournament in 2008 and beyond!
