My name is George MARCULESCU and I am a teacher at the School Sports Club nr. 1 in Bucharest, ROMANIA. I am also the coach of the football junior team PAJURA.
The presence of PAJURA team in England for 4 years, with great results, represents a performance difficult to reach by any other Romanian team.
The sporting performances obtained by our team at the Liverpool-Knowsley International Football Tournament, Liverpool (First Prize in 1999, 2000, 2001 and Second Prize in 2002) were well received in Romania and in England too. I would like to tell you that all of us from young football players to the coaches, teachers and parents, we are working hard all year long with one highest goal in our minds: to go to Liverpool and to play better than last year!

Romania has been trying for a long time to show Europe that it deserves to be in the great family of EU. The sports where, are and will be one of the domains which made Romania known in the world. That's why we are happy because, through our presence and results, we contributed to our countries prestige. For the 20 Romanian children, and also for their parents, this participation represents a moment of pride, but also a way of making contacts, of gaining experience in sports and in life, of making friends all over the world, things which were not possible until 1990.

In fact, this is the aim of sports, and especially the aim of the football.
Thank you everybody who helped us to have a nice staying, especially to the great family from St. Mary's Care Centre in Halewood. Without their help we couldn't succeed and this prove the sentence:
A friend in need, is a friend indeed! That's why we love you all! And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE!
