We are pleased to announce details of the 2008 Football Fiesta - an Arts and Dance Ceremony with a special focus on the culture of our visiting teams.

Over the coming months as we approach the Tournament, the Arts and Education Sections of Knowsley Council will be working with young people of Knowsley to create a celebration of cultures through football.

By working with artists and dancers the young people of Knowsley will be able to demonstrate all cultures involved in this years Tournament. Players visiting the tournament from overseas will be able to get involved with this celebration by linking up with young people in Knowsley and sharing cultures.

This "Football Fiesta" will take place on Tuesday 29th July at Carnatic Halls of Residence and will be used to officially open the 2008 Tournament and welcome our visiting teams from all over the world. It should be a hell of a night so keep you eyes on this page as we near the tournament for detailed updates.
